| Elton John Concert Elton John was born on 25 march 1947 in Middlesex Piner, he was in his maternal grandparents council house. His parents Sheila Eileen and Stanley Dwight were residing at their house for the time being. A few years had passed since their wedding. Afterwards they moved to another home. Elton was educated at Pinner County Grammar school, he studied there till he was fifteen years old but afterwards he started focusing more on his musical ambitions and career. When his father found out that he was seriously considering music as a profession he tried to persuade John to focus on a more stable career such as banking. But John had a greater calling. Furthermore even his parents were music lovers and listened to all the latest songs of their time. His father and mother also played a little music. This lead to Johns interest in the music industry as he had all the music records and his favorite songs at his fingertips. This inspired him to become a singer. One can also say that his parents had a part to play for his fondness towards music. At the young age of three he started playing the piano beautifully, as he grew so did his art and craft regarding music. People loved the way he played and invited him to perform at different functions and events. He even got a scholarship to attend Royal Academy of Music, he was only eleven years old at the time. Even though he said that he was not that good but his teachers and instructors termed him as a model student. But tragedy struck his life when he was fifteen years old because his parents divorced from one another as they were always fighting and having arguments. After that his mother remarried another man who was a very affectionate and loving stepfather. Elton remembers him fondly. When he was fifteen his mother and stepfather encoraged him to play and enrolled him to play at a pub. People really appreciated his music and gave him numerous tips and Elton himself made a modest income from his singing. Afterwards he and his mates formed a band named Bluesology which toured different areas and gained recognition. Furthermore he met Ray Williams who was the manager for liberty records. He gave some lyrics to John written by Berney Taupins, John provided the music and Taupins liked it. This lead to a brilliant collaboration called the scarecrow which was one of the first songs these two made. Currently Elton has sold over 200 million albums! This gives him the title of one of the best musicians of these current times. Furthermore he has given seven U.S number one albums one after the other. Furthermore he has fought against Aids and done much to help people with this disease. He has been ranked 49th in the Rolling Stones Best Musicians of All time. Furthermore he has also been inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame. This year in 2008 Elton performed for Hillary Clintons campaign and held a concert which raked in 2.5 million dollars. Elton will forever be remembered for his beautiful music, flamboyant lifestyle and versatile fashion sense. More information about Elton John Tickets
